How do you handle projects where set hours are agreed yet the timeframe blows out?
We agree to a statement of work before each project. The Project Manager then will work closely with you to ensure we remain within the parameters, and should the estimates be off, we address these as early as possible.
Do you get researchers to “pitch” their approach and submit a quote for projects?
We typically don’t use a pitching model as it’s not the model we want to create. It is more based on expertise, client budget, researcher/client culture fit and availability.
In terms of project admin – primarily questionnaire changes – would the contracted researcher deal directly with the client to sort these?
Yes. Usually the researcher and the Project Manager will work together to ensure changes are made directly with the client.
Do the researchers you contract to do the end to end projects typically present back to the client? Or does one of your team do this?
Typically the researcher would present back to the client at the end of the project. Another member of the team, usually our Project Manager, will also attend these key meetings and presentation for support.
I can only do part-time project ad hoc – does this work for you?
Yes definitely. In fact many of our researchers are working parents or use us as a ‘side hustle’ so we have smaller projects that are perfect for them.
Do you use any different technology I need to know?
We are very keen to utilise the most efficient and new techonolgy in our research and use platforms such as Qualzy, Yabble and Displayr. We can provide training if you are not familiar with these.
Do you just operate in Australia?
No. We have a global network of researchers so can work in multiple markets. We have worked with clients from across NZ, US, UK, South Africa and South East Asia.
How are you different to a research agency?
Our researchers are all vetted independent contractors, with a minimum of 5 years experience. They work for themselves and have often worked both in agencies and client side. This means we have a greater pool of category and methodological expertise to draw from. We can also scale up or down as you need because we […]
What if there are multiple researchers – who is managing it all?
We have trained project managers who are your one point of contact from project scoping to final delivery. They co-ordinate everything and work with you and the research team to ensure a successful project delivery and less work for you!
Do I get to meet the researcher before the project starts?
Yes. We introduce the researcher either in our proposal/scope of work or at the project kick off. If you are not 100% comfortable with the researcher, then we will find a replacement
